Trip Itinerary: What to Expect

Day 1: Sembalun Village – Savanna Trek – Gunung Kondo Campsite

 * **Hiking Time:** Approximately 4 to 5 hours
 * **Difficulty:** Moderate
Your adventure begins in the morning with a meetup in the lush valley of Sembalun. After a brief medical check-up (standard for Lombok trekking regulations) and a registration process, you will head to the trailhead.
The first half of the trek winds through rich agricultural fields before opening up into a breathtaking, rolling savanna. The trail gradually steepens as you enter the shade of native pine forests. By late afternoon, you will reach the ridge campsite just below the summit. Our porters will have already set up your camp. Grab a hot cup of local coffee, sit back, and watch an incredible sunset sink beneath a sea of clouds. Enjoy a freshly prepared, hearty dinner under a brilliant canopy of stars.

Day 2: Summit Sunrise – Descent – Sembalun Village

 * **Hiking Time:** 1 hour (Summit push), 3 to 4 hours (Descent)
 * **Difficulty:** Moderate
Wake up at 5:00 AM to the crisp, cool mountain air. After a light snack and a warm drink, you’ll begin a brief 1-hour summit push to the peak of Gunung Kondo (2,479\text{m}).
Reaching the summit just as the sun breaks over the horizon is a magical experience. To your west, Mount Rinjani stands in sharp, colossal relief. To your east, the sun illuminates the ocean and the distant peaks of Sumbawa. After taking photos and celebrating the summit, head back down to camp for a full breakfast. Break camp and enjoy a leisurely descent back through the savannas to Sembalun Village, where your private transport awaits to take you to your next destination.
